Nashville Pest Control Combats Bed Bugs in Spring Hill TN:
If you have been around a bed bug infestation, then you know how much of a pain these pests can be. It is like they take over your life. Because they can live a year without feeding, you have to pay attention and keep treating your home for a whole year to make sure they are completely gone. It is a lot of work that no one wants to deal with or has the time to deal with. Knowing how you might come in contact with bed bugs or how your home might become infested with them can help you prevent them from taking over your home and your life.
Like people commonly assume, a bed bug infestation has absolutely nothing to do with dirt or being poor. Bed bugs are not attracted to dirt. But they do like clutter. Having a lot of clutter inside your home gives the bed bugs many more places to hide.
Bed bugs hide inside luggage and packages. That is how they get around. So if you unknowingly stay in an infested hotel room, they might hitch a ride back to your home with you. Infestations are more common in places that have people coming and going, like apartments, dorms, hotels, and homeless shelters. The more coming and going there is, the greater chance that someone might accidentally bring in bed bugs.
Being aware of when you might come into contact with bed bugs will help keep them away from your home, but there is a difference between being aware and being paranoid. If you find out that you have been in contact with bed bugs or if you find evidence of them in your home, trust Nashville Pest Control to solve the problem for you.
Ants are a pest that is not only annoying, but they seem to never go away. You probably most notice them in your kitchen or bathroom areas. If so, that means they have found their source of food or water somewhere in those areas. Ants leave a pheromone trail from their nest/colony, to the source of food/water. You are not able to see the trail, neither can our exterminators, but we give you remedies to rid of that trail after treatments. Colonies can estimate up to 306 million worker ants, and 1 million queen ants. Now, that’s a lot of ants! Imagine all of those, in one place or another, coming into your home.
The trail they leave allows the rest of the colony to enter into your home, and take food back to their nest. If you haven’t tried to get rid of them, chances are you won’t on your own. The exterminators at Nashville Pest Control are trained to find the ant colony, and eliminate them straight from the source. This is something the average homeowner could not do on their own. Luckily, we here at Nashville Pest Control can do it for you, without you crawling around looking for the nest. If you are seeing ants along the sink in your kitchen, chances are you haven’t seen them all. Call today to set up an appointment with us, and we will gladly rid of those ants for you!
Spider Control at Nashville Pest Control:
Spiders seem to always stick around no matter what kind of remedies or sprays you put on them or around them. Good news is, Nashville Pest Control knows how to get rid of them. The most common spider in your Spring Hill home is probable the wolf spider. Though the wolf spider is technically a spider, there are certain characteristics that make it different from other spiders. The wolf spider has eight eyes. There are two small eyes on the top of the head, two larger eyes in the middle, and then four small eyes. They have two fangs at the bottom of their jaws. Unlike normal fangs, their fangs are horizontal.
One of the biggest differences is they also have shorter legs than most other spiders. They have shorter legs, because they do not spin webs. Instead, they live in burrows. Sometimes these burrows are sealed with silken doors. They use pebbles and twigs to prevent rain from getting inside. When the weather gets cooler, they go inside homes to find warmer living spaces. They will make their homes in windows, doors, garages, basements, and plants.
Their mating process is also unique. After mating, the females sometimes kill the male. The female lays her eggs in isolation. They can lay over 100 eggs in a silk sac. The females carry the eggs sacs with them. When the eggs are ready to hatch, the female opens the case to release them. The spiderlings, or baby spiders, stay with their mothers for a few weeks until they are ready to live on their own.
Even though the wolf spider is bigger than many spiders, its bite is not medically dangerous. But no one wants these spiders running around their house and terrorizing their children. If you see these big spiders around your home, call Nashville Pest Control to take care of the problem for you.
